Powdery Mildew
Powdery mildew is a milady that attacks the plant with a white powdery film. I will cut the plant down to the ground and clean of and burn the debris.

Notes:
I let these plants self multiply and they grow well from the root and can be divided.
I have the wild bergamot already growing in my garden. The wild has purple flowers. I also have pink and red flowered plants that are referred to as bee balm or monarda.
Wild bergamot is the plant that the tea is made from.
These plants are a great hummingbird and other pollinator attractant

Updates
Last year I was having trouble with my violets invading my raised beds and I am not sure if those boogers popped their seed over the divide into the monardas but I will have to do some re-planting.
March –
It is March 22, 2023 and I have been checking for signs of the monarda, but nothing has sprouted yet.
I updated this page to handle Monarda, Bee balm and bergamot.
